I-295 work suspended Friday and SaturdayThe Maine Department of Transportation will suspend road rehabilitation work Friday and Saturday, officials announced today in a press release. The northbound lane closures on Interstate 295 between Brunswick and Gardiner will continue, the release said. The two southbound lanes remain open. Work will restart Sunday. Officials say while traffic congestion on I-295 will be alleviated Friday and Saturday, drivers headed north on the Maine Turnpike Sunday and Monday should expect some potential delays.
