Seat belt usage in Maine on the rise
Apparently, Click-It-Or-Ticket is working.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported seat belt usage in Maine is on the rise.
The report said seat belt compliance is up from 79 percent to 83 percent in the last year. It was at 72 percent five years ago.
The national average for compliance was 83 percent last year, NHTSA officials said.
