Maine delegation heads to Minnesota
Elaine Bridge of Manchester said she's tired of living in a blue state.
A delegate to the Republican National Convention that begins on Monday, she said she's ready to get energized and hopes other Maine delegates are too.
She's hoping the momentum created by the convention will carry through to November to bring Sen. John McCain to victory.
"Maine has been so liberal lately," she said. "I sure hope he will do it. I'm tired of being a blue state."
Check Sunday's paper for more comments from central Mainers who are delegates to the convention.
Labor Day picnic

Democratic candidates will be on hand. Hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Families are welcome.
